  S.E (Simultaneous Engineering)
As an usual process in the automotive industry, through simultaneous engineering, our production engineering team participates in the process of design engineering and reflects manufacturing requirements into the car design in order to reduce the development cost and period, and also to achieve the target quality in the early stage. By collaboration with design engineering division, we regularly perform the well-organized process according to our standard on SE.
Through designing activities to satisfy die development requirements in the early stage of body design, vehicle development costs can be effectively reduced, and as well, various effects including development time reduction can be provided during the entire development phases.
  Die engineering process designation
V-ENS has demonstrated its capability by developing in-house press parts including side outer panel and front fender within three processes, with the help of efficient SE between the design engineering and production engineering when accomplishing the new car projects of advanced car marker.

Through minimizing the die processes, we can provide various effects including the reduction of die development cost and time, and efficient utilization of plant space , etc. V-ENS makes the process plan of respective press parts and verifies the feasibility of die design and production using die layout. In addition , we validate the over-lap factors of CAM utilizing 3D solid data.

Throughout these activities, we can recognize design problems that can cause the increase of the number of processes, and then propose relevant design changes after consulting with designer.
  Formability
In the stage of body design, formability can be evaluated with actual die conditions according to process plan. In addition, stable formability could be strengthened when accomplishing SE by motivating to improve die conditions and change product shape. V-ENS utilizes engineering tools such as Autoform, PAMSTAMP, and LS-Dyna.

  Material Cost Reduction
We lower the material grade and minimize the size of used material by analyzing the results of the modeling data and formability analysis. In addition, we actively review and apply for optimizing the material utilization and simultaneous processing. It can lead to cost reduction.

  Quality Improvement
V-ENS emphasized that securing the superior quality in the early stage of car development is the key point related to the reduction of development time. The efficiency of die production and panel quality improvement can be ensured by suggesting consistent quality standard and tolerance to die maker. In addition, through defining the expected problems of the developing car and solution tables after analyzing various problems arisen by the current cars, V-ENS provides useful information for the early trial process following the production of the die.

  Mass Production Preparation
V-ENS follows these series of processes and prepares for the mass-production through making the document including pallet specification, automation specification, and raw material invoices.
